As part of the Customer Service Team you will play an essential part in our visitors overall experience. You’ll be the first person they speak to or see and you have the opportunity to set the tone to what will be an incredible experience at The Wave. This a multi-faceted role which will see you working across a number of different customer facing roles.

Responsibilities:

  • Managing bookings and incoming queries.
  • Achieving customer service excellence and continually improving communications and building a rapport with our customers.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of the business products, processes and sharing best practice.
  • Pro-actively follow up and manage to conclusion any issues arising from customer feedback mechanisms.
  • Develop and maintain a detailed knowledge of each department’s key responsibilities and functions, and develop effective working relationships that ensure positive outcomes for the customer.
  • Contributor to the creation of the customer service knowledge base.
  • Being a champion for excellent customer service.
  • Using systems such as Zendesk, EPOS.
  • Supporting the Sales & Events Manager with sales activity.

Skills and attributes required

  • Previous bookings or customer service experience both on the phone an face to face is essential.
  • Experience in the use of a customer service / booking systems.
  • Excellent phone presentation and communication skills who builds rapport easily, manages expectations and successful complaint resolution.
  • Demonstrable skills in problem solving and finding innovative solutions for successful problem resolution.
  • An ability to work under pressure and prioritise, with a drive and determination to achieve the best – a can do attitude.
  • A passion for being active, sustainability, health and wellbeing and the natural world.
  • A proactive and ambitious mindset, with a desire to ‘muck-in’ who will be an ambassador for The Wave!

The finer details:

  • Basic salary of £18,000 - £20,000 per annum
  • Full-time – Starting April/May
  • This role will include weekend and some evening work.
  • 30 days holiday (pro rata) (inclusive of Bank Holidays)
  • Working initially from our Bristol Office on the Harbourside and then at our Bristol site in Easter Compton
