COVID-19 temporary closure
Updated Monday 30 March 2020
While there have been no reported cases of COVID-19 at The Wave, in the interest of the health and wellbeing of our visitors, Wavemakers and local community, we’ve made the sad decision to temporarily close. This affects all areas of the site.
Booking terms and conditions
Given the extenuating circumstances linked to COVID-19, we have amended our Booking Terms and Conditions in relation to Changes, Cancellations and Refunds.
Until further notice, if you need to cancel your surf session, or we are unable to deliver your surf session, due to the coronavirus outbreak we can offer you a voucher to the value of the surf session booked, credited to your account within 14 working days of the missed session.
We thank you for your patience during this difficult time. Unfortunately, we can only offer you a refund in the form of a gift voucher.
Frequently asked questions
What do I need to do if I have a surf booked in the next few months?
Nothing at this stage. If you have a surf booked with us and it needs to be cancelled due to Coronavirus, you’ll be sent an email with a voucher code to cover the total value of all your surfs booked.
I want to talk to someone and can’t get through. What should I do?
We apologise now that we won't be able to answer calls over the next few weeks and there may be delays responding to emails. We're prioritising dealing with emails related to surfs booked in March and April first, moving forward through surf dates into May thereafter.
We ask for your understanding and patience at this time.
I want to cancel my surf and don’t want a voucher. What do I need to do?
Unfortunately, under the extenuating circumstances linked to COVID-19, we can only offer you gift vouchers to the value of the surf sessions booked. These vouchers can be used at a future date to suit you.
