Our Thursday Sister Sessions are designed to keep it simple and focus on the thing you love most: surfing. A post-work surf to unwind in the waves with a supportive community of women.

Women-only surf takeovers
A lake full of women with the same love of the stoke — Sister Sessions takeover day returns to The Wave on Sunday 27th September – 10.30am to 4pm.
Women-only surfs and lessons, pitched at every level. Some of you will be standing up for the first time, others will be working on your turns, and everyone gets the same welcome. Expect encouragement from the water and the shore, a cheer for the best rides and even the wipeouts, and a few new faces to surf with next time.

Sister Sessions
We are passionate about making surfing accessible for everyone, so we want to remove as many barriers as possible to encourage people to try surfing. Our women-only Sister Sessions are just one of a few initiatives to attract a wider range of people to experience the joy of surfing, as well as its many physical and mental health benefits.
What always stands out the most is the atmosphere in the water. Surfers cheer each other on between waves and we’re frequently told it’s a great opportunity to connect with new people who share the same love of surfing.
