Surf The Wave

Surf

At The Wave we have set out to create a place where people of all abilities can surf on consistent top quality waves all year round.

Surfing for everyone, whatever your level

Whatever your age, fitness, learning or physical ability, we’ll help you to get the most out of your surfing and your time at The Wave.

We offer surf lessons for beginners and intermediate surfers so you can improve your skills in a fun and supportive environment. They are delivered by our experienced team of qualified coaches who are down-to-earth, friendly and supportive. We also offer non-guided surf sessions for intermediate and advanced surfers who are already confident on a board and just want to catch some waves.

With a 180m long surfing lake, The Wave delivers an unrivalled inland surf experience suitable for everyone from beginner to seasoned professional. We’ve designed every aspect to ensure it is fun for all, whatever your ability. At The Wave no-one is judged – except on competition days!

Wavegarden Cove technology

Our waves are produced by Wavegarden Cove technology. This technology is groundbreaking and can generate up to 1,000 quality waves per hour, ranging from 50cm (1.7ft) to almost 2m (6.5ft) in height. We can produce a new wave every 8-10 seconds.

Importantly, the whole surfing experience has been designed to ensure each surfer has the space, time and serenity to enjoy their surf at The Wave without ever needing to contend with the crowds.

I think it's the most fun I ever had with my friends. I got so many waves and it's a good training, my legs are burning right now.

Perfect waves when you want them

We’ll be open seven days a week, all year round, with surfing available all day long. This makes it easy to come at a time to suit you, whether you are coming on your own, or with friends or family. Our opening times will vary across the seasons depending on daylight hours.

All our prices include the use of a surfboard and wetsuit plus optional hood and boots if you would like them. All you need to bring is your swimming costume and a towel.
